Hi, I did a fresh install of Windows 10 64bit on my w540. I thought I had installed all of the requisite drivers but unfortuantely the Device Manager is showing a missing driver under 'Other Devices'. The missing driver is the TUSB34310 Boot Device. Google searches show this may be related to the USB 3.0 drivers. Unfortuantely, the only USB 3.0 driver available for the W540 seems to be for Windows 7.

I tried but was unable to install those drivers. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance! Hi Doug, The TUSB3410 is an RS232/IrDA Serial-to-USB Converter. Don't think it's necessarily USB 3.0 related. Windows Xp Sp3 Ghost With All Drivers Download. Copy and paste missed the full part number. Not sure what it is. Still worth running TVSU (below) to see what it finds.

It's probably used to connect some internal device in your laptop to the internal USB hub(s). Or maybe it's external. Do you have anything plugged in when you see this? Sorry, I'm not familiar with your laptop Have you tried installing and running ThinkVantage System Update to see if it picks up that driver for you? Hi, It would have been helpful if I told you more about my laptop. No, nothing connected at all (just the power supply and ethernet cable). I do run System Update relgiously but no luck there.

Doing some research, this is definitely a USB port issue: 1. I see that TI makes the chip and it's used for USB 3.0 hubs on various devicies including the hub for the W540.

Plugging in a USB 3.0 thumb drive, Windows 10 complains that it could run faster if connected as USB 3.0. No issues plugging the same thing into my desktop PC with USB 3.0 ports. I tried installing USBView but the Windows SDK doesn't seem to include it. Thanks, Doug.

It was showing UMP 3410 Unitary Driver and UMP3410 Serial Port drivers in Device Manager. But When I changed my laptop and bought a new one with WIndows 7 64 bit. Now it showing boot device and finding no driver. I use Serial to USB cable to connect the ETS2258 with my laptop where serial port in ETS2258 and USB with laptop. I'm planning to upgrade to Windows 8 64 bit.
